Rambutan has a tough outer skin and reddish hair. Rambutan flesh is translucent, whitish or very pale pink, with a sweet, mildly acidic flavour.


Rambutan is considered to be closely related to Lychees and Logans, but more colorful appearance.


Interestingly, rambutan contains approximately 47 mg of vitamin C / 100g.

Rambutan can be used for anti-inflammatory and anti-biotics for injections, when it is boiled.


It heavily grows in South of Thailand such as Chumphon and Suratthani.
